DS elements with <1% undesired orders intensity vs desired orders
1X2 diffractive beam splitters are highly popular in many industrial laser applications, including welding, perforation, grooving , dicing and other applications. Standard Double spot (DS) beam splitters offer excellent efficiency of >80% in orders +-1 , with the intensity in of undesired orders +-3 being 12% of desired orders. For some sensitive applications, this intensity in undesired orders is unacceptable, causing damage or aesthetic effects to the substrate.
Holo/Or has developed an innovative diffractive 1X2 beam splitters with defocused undesired orders – at the work plane, the intensity of the undesired orders is <1% of the desired orders.
